Sunair started operations in 1978 and has had significant growth since then. A milestone in the airline's 25 year history was 1996 when is signed a franchise cooperation with British Airways for which Sunair now operates a variety of routes. The company's fleet of British Aerospace ATPs, Jetstream 31 & Jetstream 41s are all painted in the British Airways colors. From its hub in Billund, Denmark, Sunair services various destinations in Scandinavia and around Europe.
